Protectorate Stamp on Pakistani Passport

Dated 19/11/2020This is the latest update on the process of how to get protector stamp on your passport. Very soon they will replace the stamp with a sticker. The process has become unbelievably simple, easy and straight forward. I have previously received stamp twice for other countries in 2014 & 2017; therefore, I know how horrible it was, especially for travellers from remote areas of the country.

How to get to the office: working hours are 9 am to 5 pm, so you have plenty of time to do the whole thing. The office is located just behind the KFC, on the service road of Nursery at Shara-e-Faisal. All the facilities are available under one roof, you enter the office and come out with stamp in an hour.Go straight to photostat guy Mr Irfan. He is a kind of focal person for the whole thing.

He will make a few photocopies of these items:

1. First & second page of the passport

2. Work visa stamp (e.g. Tier 2 Visa)

3. Sponsorship letter (CoS)

4. Job offer letter

5. CNIC of a family member for insurance (You can get copies of these items with you because they often run out of papers & electricity).

However, the charges are fixed between 200 to 300 Rs for his extremely precious time-saving services. He will quickly fill all forms for you and guide you step by step where to go in the same building. After making a complete set for you, he will direct you to Bank’s counter which is just next to the corridor. They are always short of money so bring a change of 7200 Rs with you to save time. The second step is to go to state life office which is on the 2nd floor of the same building. Here a guy will fill a form for you and he will give you two copies, bring these copies to Photo state guy Mr Irfan, he will keep a copy in your file and original he will staple on your passport.

From there, you will go for Biometrics and data entry. Please make sure that all the data entered is correct, they will give you a paper to review before you sign. After that you will go back to the assistant’s office where he will stamp your passport with a smiling face, (still can’t believe that).

Now you have to wait for the Director’s call. This pleasant gentleman invited everyone in his office, he briefed about the whole process, he also asked for feedback on the official website, we all gave very positive feedback. He confirmed the identity of each applicant and signed the stamp on the passport. That’s all. No one asked for NADRA NICOP or Medical Report.
